Fantastic protection and great comfort
Wonderful helmet! It was time to go for higher quality helmets as my twins entered high school ball. So glad I did! The boys love defense and hitting-Coach calls them the Boom Brothers. One of the boys took a really bad "targeting" hit as a WR. He had a mild concussion and only missed 2 weeks. I know that had he been wearing his old helmet it would have been a different outcome. The boys love this helmet. They say it is very comfortable and they love the gel inserts.Note, this does not come with a facemask. I took the helmets in to a higher end sporting goods store, not an Academy or Sports Authority, to get the proper facemask. They run from $40-80. The more expensive mask was titanium and worth it. So be sure to consider the facemask as you figure your budget.

Comfort: yes... Protection: could've been better
Great fit, very comfortable. However I'm not that impressed with frontal impact from d-linemen trying to stun you. In my opinion it's a 5 star helmet with 4 star protection.

Great helmet, some difficulties
Great helmet, ready to wear outside of box. The twist release is nice, but i don't recommend it. It can be changed. The nose bumper displaces my facemask quite drastically. Easy to clean, easy to inflate. Overall a good helmet.
