Easy install with two people. Very stable on 2hr drive
Was easy to install. I installed with another person. Held my bike well as I transported it two hours away. No wiggling or wobbling on the highway. Fit my 2016 Chevy Malibu and I’ve seen it be compatible with many other cars. I see this bike rack a lot where I live on others cars.Only thing is that the part that holds the bike is flat and the middle part of my bike is not flat it is angled so I had to move the bike on the rack forward so it’d have somewhere to rest in the clamps. Despite not being a perfect fit it still held my bike well. We also tied the reminding strap on the front tire to stop it from hitting my car or moving around

Beach Cruiser Bicycles
Was indecisive on getting this rack because I needed it for two beach cruisers and they have unique frames. I ended up getting it and it works great! I took 2 different beach cruisers at the same time (pics of bike are in the review) from the Antelope Valley to Long Beach. There was high winds, bumpy roads, traffic, and many turns. it stayed in place the whole time. Very easy setup, takes 5-10 minutes to mount the rack and 2 bikes. It would most likely be a faster Set up with a mountain bike frame but I had to find a way to mount the cruiser. Would definitely recommend.

Works as intended, follow instructions.
Had to drive back home with a new bike about 850 miles going around an average of 70mph. Held up great for the trip and straps didn't come loose. I then threw on another bike and this one weighed almost 50% heavier than the other for another 30 miles going about 75mph. Still held up great. I will say that I wish the hooks came rubberized, went ahead and ordered some rubber grip mats to place under the hooks so there was no slipping or scratching. Also invested in some front fork straps to keep fork from turning during the trip.As far as security goes I wish there was a way to lock the frame to the vehicle so it can't be removed easily. Throwing a bike lock or chain will secure the bike(s) to the frame no problem. If you're curious, I have a hatchback SUV and it mounted well. Bottom strap had to be placed on the door itself instead of some metal on the bumper as anything metallic was too far for it to reach. Will be buying a roof rack for the bike in the future with a fork lock, until then this will work great!

Single A Double C
love showing up at the trail head, removing my bike and riding faster than most others with $1k + racks. Super Easy to set up get bike on and off and remove for storage...2 bikes on this is pushing it though, I ride a small and my buddy has a large bike...it is a little uncomfortable putting them on the same rack...Solid Grade of A+ for single bike, would not bother with the high end racks. Id grade it a C for 2 bikes though

Works for Hyundai Tucson
Once we adjusted it to fit my 2025 Hyundai Tucson, it was great! Now it’s easy to put on and take off when needed. The weight isn’t heavy at all which is why I can do it myself, even on a SUV. Cushions protect my car. Holds my sons 24in bike and my youngest sons 20in bike. I use tire straps to keep the tires from spinning as I drive. The ONLY downside I’ve experienced so far is my local police don’t approve that the bike rack covering my license plate. Aside from that, no issues! It definitely does the job and it’s strong quality!

Works Well
I have an electric bike that is at the top of the weight limit for this rack. Despite that, this rack is VERY study and was able to be mounted easily to hold my bike. It was easy to fold down and put onto the back of my hatchback, and it was not scratched or harmed by any road hazards.

The main reason I like this bike rack is it's lightweight
The main reason I like this bike rack is it's lightweight. The main drawback comes from the narrow width, which makes it a bit unstable, necessitating the side straps. This is the width of most racks these days, so this is not a real criticism. My previous bike rack was about twice as wide and needed no side straps. The side straps do help, but they create additional hooks that can damage the paint. You can put tape over the top hooks to protect your car, but the space on the sides of the hatch (at least on my car) are too narrow for tape.Another disadvantage of the narrow width is that the rear of the bike, being heavier than the front, tends to drag that side of the rack down and I have to stop every now and then and tighten the top strap on that side.I only use the rack for one bike so I removed one set of top-tube holders. If you do that you have to find a way to keep the bike from sliding outward because the exterior top-tube holders are holding the interior holders in place. I haven't quite solved that yet.Be prepared to add padding to the rack or the bike to protect parts of the bike that contact the rack. Pipe insulation and duct take work well.Customer service at Allen Sports is poor. First, they don't answer the phone. You have to leave a message and wait for them to call you back, which took several hours. Second, they don't have any real answers to questions and you can't get to people who do have the answers. My question was why they said this rack won't fit the Scion xA. The answer was, "Because the engineers say it won't fit." Why? "We don't know." Who could answer this question for me? "No one. You can't talk to that department." It turns out that the rack fits the Scion xA just fine, as indicated elsewhere in the Amazon reviews.I like the rack but I'm taking one star off for poor customer service.UPDATE June 2023. I've had this rack for 5 years and it has generally been OK. The straps have dried out, and I notice that it costs more to replace the straps than it does to buy a new rack. I wouldn't call this rack especially convenient or simple. There are 5 required straps and I think two more are important: one to hold the bottom of the bike against the rack (I use a long bungee from the bumper up over the top tube and down to the rack) and a short strap to hold the front tire to the bike frame. So 7 straps. On a long camping trip I end up taking the rack off the car and putting it back on a few times and it's a hassle.A warning I learned the hard way: This rack can BREAK THE REAR WIPER ARM on a hatchback if you accidentally turn on the rear wiper. Some rear wipers turn on automatically if you have the front wipers on and you put the car in reverse. If the rear wiper is activated, it will hit the bike rack and the arm will break. Could also damage the wiper motor. Solution: remove the rear wiper arm or remove the fuse for the rear wiper.A tip if you have a hatchback with a rear SPOILER: get a piece of very solid foam like the foam bars that are used on top of metal roof bars to carry a kayak. So about 4" x 4" x 24". Place the foam on the spoiler, about 4" back from the edge, near the edge of the roof. Run the rack straps up over the foam. This will prevent the straps from contacting the spoiler and it takes quite a bit of weight off the spoiler. To make the foam last longer, wrap heavy duty duct tape over the foam under the straps. I've done this with two cars and had no problems with the spoiler.

why spend more?
been using this for about a year, works great and is way cheaper than the hunk of aluminum my friends like to use.
