Excellent eye vitamins, works well as antioxidants

My father has macular degeneracy, so our optician suggested that we start taking some form of lutein for ocular support. Recently, I developed an allergy to artificial coloring, especially red. The most popular eye vitamins are RED! I found VisiVite on-line and the capsules are green. Most of the ingredients are natural, not synthetic. My optician approved them. I didn't give Visivite four stars YET, because I haven't had an eye check-up recently. I want a professional's opinion as to their effectiveness in my case before I give the last star. I've had no allergic reaction and I like the fact that the ingredients are mostly natural.
