Worked perfectly
Ididn't expect much from these, due to the low price, and the amount of clips in the package, but I was pleasantly surprised. We have normal shingles (thickness-wise). I noticed some reviewers commented on this. However, when installing these you will run in to many spots where there are multiple layers, due to the overlap of shingles. I found that this clip would fit over even 3 layes of shingles. It was tight but still worked. The best fit was on 2 layers of shingles. It is very snug on 2 layers but still easy to install. 1 layer is very easy to install but still secure enough to feel confident that the wind will not blow it off. The clips are flexible enough that you can use 2 hands to install on thick layers of shingles, just requiring a little more effort. We used these for LED lights which are very small so the bulb itself will to secure in the clip eyelet. But that does not matter because if you have the string of lights taught, and place the clip just a few millimeters past the bulb, the tension holds the lights securely in place.Of course as soon as we put up Christmas lights, we have storms and winds for days, but the clips are holding just fine. I used one clip about every 2.5 feet. One more thing worth mentioning...because of the placement your lights will be on the edge of your roof, some of the lights will actually sit on top of your roof, rather than hanging off of it. This is not a huge deal, just keep in mind that some of the lights may be less visble than others.

Great clips, used for two seasons now.
I love these clips. I have used them for 2 seasons now and they work great for me and make the install easy. I clip them to the edge of my shingles that hang just slightly over my soffit and it did not damage any of my shingles on install or removal (but I am pretty careful).I use these with Icicle lights and they do a good job of keeping them in place and looking good. I have not had any fall out.Be careful when installing them because they are pretty small and can get lost easily if you drop them. You can use them over and over, so it is best not to lose them.

Worked just fine for our fairy light needs.
We used these for fairy lights around our pool house and they did a pretty good job. They do fit somewhat loosely, so the lights tend to flip in different directions. I would have preferred a clip that kept the lights stationary, though we did use wire to support the clips and the lights. I'm sure it would do the same thing with Christmas lights, but they are more bulky than fairy lights so they would twist less obviously. But so far we've had a couple of truly blustery weather moments and not one light has come off from these clips, so they are doing a fine job in that regard. I would recommend them to others if they want something that doesn't weaken or become loose after a while, as they have not. So that is a real plus in my opinion.

Perfect for installing Christmas lights on gutter
This is the first time I hang the Christmas lights from the roof. I used to have nailed clips below the gutter in my old one story house so I never needed to worry about the clips. Since now it’s a two story house so do it using ladder is not possible. So I climbed to the roof and installed it from there. This is the first time I used these type of clips. Turned out they are very easy to use. It clipped to the gutter effortlessly. And it’s strong and I will probably install lights around the entire house next year. This year I only did the street facing side.

FREAKING LITTLE BITTY CLIPS
I bought these off-season to attach LED patio string lights. I laughed my ass off when I saw them because on rare occasions I buy something that is completely not what I imagined. These clips are ridiculously tiny and will not fit over VINYL rain gutters. Aluminum, yes but it does not specify in the description. Additionally, the package was damaged inside shipping envelope and hooks were not in the original packaging as the plastic cover was completely separated from cardboard backing. There were hooks outside of the packaging and loose within the shipping envelope. This was not an expensive product and not eligible for return or replacement so no big loss. I just chalk this up to lessons learned.

They worked great for a season
They worked great for a season, but then the season went away & we failed to take down our Christmas lights. Recently when my husband cleaned out the gutters he broke several clips & portions of the light strand loose so now portions of the lights are hanging down in front of the gutters. Unless you remove these each yr when you take your lights down they could pose a problem when cleaning the gutters.

An alternative to NOT VOID leaf filter warranty
I had just got leaf filter put on this past summer and we had hung out Christmas lights off our gutter previously, well now we couldn’t anymore so I found these and was skeptical they’d work for what I wanted them for considering it wasn’t advertised to be use for this and it worked beautifully. The wife is happy the lights are up again with voiding anything and when we finish wrapping the house this fall I’ll come back for more

Must have for Christmas Lights!!!
My old house had wood roof beams so I screwed small hooks all over the outside roof beams to hold the hooks and lights. My current house however, has metal roof siding and I wasn't sure how I would hang my Christmas lights up this past season. I researched and found these, and boy I will never go back to the hooks! These were so easy to hang, they kept the lights up securely, and best of all, they move to keep the lights snug, but do not move on their own. I would absolutely recommend purchasing these for hanging lights up!
