My barbers hate me because every time they cut my hair, my hair gives them a splinter.Every morning I wake up, my hair is aiming for the sun.I've been through a number of gel, wax, a combination of hair products with hair spray and had been very disappointed that by mid-day my hair will start to fall apart.For the last few years, I've been doing a "combover", and during the first first years, the combover, would start dropping from the side to the front due to the density and weight of my hair.Eventually I stumbled upon this when googling hair product for straight Asian hair and decided to give this a try, and this has held my hair all day without losing its shape (assuming that you do not constantly touch your hair).I always buy this in bulk and ensure that I have a constant supply in my closet.

I have ridiculous cowlicks ALL OVER MY HEAD. I have my head shaved on the sides, and a mohawk-ish style situation. I can never get the hairstyle I get with the blow dryer to STAY with the insane humidity where I live. This product has solved that problem, and I’m so glad I bought a two-pack! It smells mild, but really nice, and it only takes a really small amount with my stupidly-thick hair. If you use the ‘right’ amount, it washes out with NO PROBLEM. I’ve got zero patience with waxy, shampoo-proof products, and I don’t have any problems washing this product out of my hair, because I hardy need ANY to get the results I want. I HIGHLY recommend.

Love this product. I’m not too good at styling my hair but this helps a lot. It’s good for putting hair up or keeping it in place. Nice mild scent and not too oily. Be aware though that all gels, pomades, waxes, etc. create oily hair or skin to some extent and can cause acne, so if you’re worried about that then avoid these products in general. However this is one of the least oily products that I found and does not cause too much acne. In general, in daily use, I got about 4-5 months of use out of the container use with 3-4 finger globs of gel per day. If it rains or you do physical activity, the gel can end up not working as well so be aware of that. Personally it’s my favorite hair product so far.

Very nice texture, grips on super good, leaves hair not super oily looking and holds for a long time. Sad thing is that it leaves the hair a bit sticky afterwards that can only be removed after a shower. I used these on two cousins of mine, but I normally use it to control those annoying wiry looking hairs that just out from my forehead and sides. Works fantastic!

This is a great product that I’ve been using for many years now. It holds well without looking too shiny or greasy. It’s also easy to wash out.Like other reviews that commented on the brand and price, despite the manufacturer being shown as NovaLava and not Gatsby, the product appears to be the same one. The only difference I noticed on the labelling was that these are made in Indonesia while the last batch I ordered were made in Japan. It could be that they’ve moved the manufacturing of this product to another country for cost savings or they just have multiple manufacturing sources but I didn’t see any difference in the quality of the product.
