Previous halter ran under our dog's legs and you could see it was uncomfortable. This one fits well, and is padded, also seems well made.

EDITED: Daisy was somehow able, while rolling on her back inside the house when playing, to extricate her front legs from the harness. Please be mindful when using; I would not recommend leaving a dog tethered unsupervised in this harness (nor would I advise leaving a dog tethered and unsupervised under any circumstances.)I've fine-tuned the adjustments to tighten it slightly, and I will not leave it on her when I am not with her.Luckily, it is easy to put on and take off.~ ~ ~ ~ ~I had purchased a harness that matched Daisy's collar; it's pretty and works fine... but I wanted something to use with her Kurgo Heather booster seat for short drives around town.* I was concerned that her other harness could hurt her if I had to brake quickly (the booster seat has a seat belt harness attachment to keep a dog secure.) I believe this is a safer alternative, as it would disperse pressure more evenly in such an instance.This harness is very comfortable for her, in any position of her body, and for wearing throughout the day; Daisy is a new rescue, and we are working on establishing a potty schedule, so she wears this - except at nighttime - to make quick trips outside faster/easier.I love that the buckle clips lock, so that a dog cannot "un-do" the clips when it may be playing or rolling in the grass.The reflective material is super bright - another benefit that is superior to her other harness.The handle attachment is nice when one needs to quickly restrain a dog for a distraction, such as other animals at the vet's office. The fabric is comfortable for her, and the design allows freedom of movement, without a dog being able to back out of the harness.If I were to suggest any modifications, it might be to have a lead ring attached to the center front of the harness, in addition to the one already on the back... as well as for it to be available in purple (or other colors.) :)I would suggest that purchasers make adjustments to sizing while the dog is not wearing the harness, first, and then "fine-tune" the fit while it's on the dog. The straps do not readily slip through the buckles - a good thing, as it won't loosen while on your pet - so it's much easier to adjust in those two steps.All in all we're very pleased with this harness, and it has become our preferred one for regular daily use. Excellent quality for the price.* For highway travel, Daisy will be in her crate in the back seat, for additional safety in case of an accident.Daisy is from Secondhand Hounds in MN, a great rescue organization if you're looking to adopt a pet, and worthy of your charitable donations if you are inclined to help them continue their good work.

I've purchased several brands and styles over the years but this is the best one! It's comfortable, versatile, sturdy and easier to get on than even the other "over the head" harnesses that I've owned before. Love this harness!!!!

Fast shipping hood fit and built well

My boy has chewed through 2 other harnesses, but not only was this harness easy to setup; he was totally comfortable trying it on. It perfectly mimics how He'd be harnessed as a sled dog! No more neck strain and annoying tangles as well. I highly recommend, and its also reflective!

While this harness appears to be padded and sturdy, it is difficult to adjust. Once I get it adjusted to fit my dog, all she has to do is pull hard on the leash and the buckles begin to slip. She has gotten a leg stuck through it. I am disappointed and would not buy again.

No harness is chew proof! This one lasted one day for one little dog. Love the color! It would be perfect for a non chewing dog.
