If you want an more versatile Tube Screamer, here it is!
With this effect, you get a tube screamer with more boost than is typical, a “fat” circuit which really turbocharges it, and an optional flavor which flattens the response. It’s a very versatile variation on this traditional circuit.

Awesome!
This thing is a beast. Gives you the ability to have normal tubescreamer tone like a TS-10, or for you to tweak it with the fat mode and get way more gain and to be able to tweak your voicing from mids to a more “transparent” setting which is an overused term in overdrive, and even Brian Wampler hates it himself. Compared this next to a mini tube screamer and this thing blows it away. Definitely get one for your rig!

High Hopes Delivered
Saw this pedal reviewed by Anderton's in the UK (I'm in the US) and was so impressed I ordered it immediately. It arrived a few days later and I am thrilled. Fat sound, easily customizable, and the gain is mind-blowing. Improves the tone I get from my Les Paul and my Strats and I play mostly through a Katana MkII 100 and a Spark 40. Definitely worth the purchase for live use. There are other solutions in the studio but this is a great small form-factor pedal (no batteries). Would buy this again without hesitation.

Couldn't be happier.
As much fun as it is to buy, use, and collect pedals.. I can't remember a time when I was immediately satisfied with a purchase as I was with the Moxie.I don't have a Tube Screamer, but I do have a Maxon OD808, and as much as I like it, I don't dig the "mid-range hump" that's so prevalent in this type of pedal. The first thing I did was set both of the switches to the right (voice/fat), and I doubt I'll ever change it.The goal here was to get a seriously overdriven Strat tone from a ridiculously clean amp without resorting to stacking OD pedals or a distortion pedal.. and I couldn't be more satisfied. The term "transparent overdrive" gets tossed around a lot, and Brian Wampler himself is on the record as disliking that term, but all I can say is when you crank on it and do your best Hendrix impersonation it still sounds like a Stratocaster. It's not gritty or buzzy... it adds sustain and feedback in a way that feels very natural, like standing in front of a 4x12 British amp that's so loud it makes you weak in the kneesFor what it's worth, I'm 63 years old and have been doing this for a while. Big Muff, Hotcake, Tumnus, 808, EHX Glove, and a few more that I sold and can't remember what they were.. a lot of times over the years I've bought something and thought well it's pretty cool maybe I just have to learn how to use it but this was immediate gratification.Last but not least, it's set up in a way that is very smart for pedal board use, which is to say that the bottom is flat and ready for Velcro, and stick-on rubber feet are included but not applied. Also, the knurled metal knobs just feel great.Highly recommended.

Mmmmmmmm
Brian makes some great pedals (I love my Tumnus), but I found this pedal extremely bassy? My other pedals on my board include KOT, Soloist, J Rockette GTO & an EP Booter, plus Delay.I just couldn’t get it to fit in

It’s like two pedals in one
Traditional tube screamer tones plus a flat EQ “voice” and mosfet “fat” clipping. Flip the voice and fat switches to the right and change the tone and grit to a high gain distortion. It’s like two pedals in one. Love the versatility.

It’s a tube screamer plus
Leave it to Brian Wampler to mod the basic tube screamer. Takes up less space, and takes your scream to a different level. My only complaint is the fat switch adds gain but with noise as well.

Really good.
This is a fantastic little pedal. If you need more gain and headroom than a regular TS this will offer that. If you need less of a mid hump, toggle the voicing and becomes very neutral. However, if you’re looking for accurate TS-10 tones this ain’t it. Check out Tone Geeks version, or the JHS Bonsai for accuracy.
