Doesn't balance
The book stand is solidly made and looks good. However, it doesn't balance once a book is placed in it (and that might well vary with the size of the book mine is small and doesn't go above the top of the stand). The metal part of the stand doesn't fold out enough and that doesn't create enough of a slant. So, once I put a book in, it topples forward with the potential of creating a domino effect leading to a number of items ending u[ on the floor.The issue can be remedied by placing something under the front of the stand and in that way lifting it a bit higher, but you shouldn't have to do that.

Item not fit for purpose. Ok for iPad except angle to acute so you can't really see the screen. But put a cookbook on it and it falls over!
