Dick 8144721 F. Dick Premier Plus Chefs Knife 21 cm

I have a selection of F Dick knifes and can't fault them. They stay sharp and are easily sharpened. This is my favorite for every day prep- an absolute workhorse of a knife!

I am a pro cook, and this is my knife.I have several chef's knifes, but this is the one i use 95% of the time.In part, the difference is the length. The 8.5-8.75 inch size (depends on who measures it) seems just right. 8" knives are great, but the extra 3/4 of an inch length come in handy at time, but does not make it unwieldy like my 10" blades sometimes are.Frederick Dick is a German knife maker that, in the past, only sold to pro's, not home users. But at least in the USA, you can find them, though they are hard to find.

Great knife, I think I can rid of a dozen crappy knives now.Beware, this is a large, very sharp knife but comes with no sheath.Cuts onions and meat like butter.. Barely touch it and it's cut through.
