Instructions for installation inaccurate
The router/modem works great so far with Xfinity service provision, but there were a few issues with the instructions. The instructions are for a new product, so they tell you that the Wifi name and password should match the SSID and password on the bottom of the router. Since it's a renewed product and someone had used it before, the Wifi channel name and password had already been changed. It wasn't immediately apparent that (1) the Wifi was transmitting and (2) that the router had internet access; I spent a while waiting for the promised SBG6700-XXXX network name to appear in the list of available networks.Once I realized what was going on, the solution was the follow the instructions to use the admin login to change the router information. Once I logged in, I could see the network name and password, so I could choose the correct one and log into the Wifi on my computer. With that caveat, setup was relatively easy and painless.

Good but not perfect
Good but not perfect. Great for the price and modem+router if you desire small simplicity. It has the most important quality.. modem and wifi are stable and fast. Here is more on the details. The web interface is functional and fast too. Has all the basic features but no bells and whistles, like no udpates, no VPN, no custom DNS, no etc. It'd be nice if the lights were not so bright.

Bang for your buck
It is fairly small compared to other, more modern routers out there, but does the job. Gets pretty warm and seems to stay there regardless of your activity. It's very straight forward when it comes to customizing and changing settings. None of it feels quite like you're shooting in the dark & I've seen some pretty messed up routers that will have you spend an extra $100 through a tech team that tells you what you already know.In short, it has all the bells and whistles, but to get the best performance, you gotta do it yourself. And it allows you to so as you wish without referring you to some jerk off that wants your wallet.

ARRIS for Home
This is the right one for our home - we just have our phones, tablet and tv hooked up, and we just stream shows for our baby, so we're not gamers and don't need anything too powerful - this baby is more than enough, absolutely a great purchase and highly recommend - for the price, it's a steal! A+++

It works for a fair price.
I bought a rebuilt unit. So the first one still had s defect but the second on does everything exactly right. Considering the local cable company wants 13 to 15 a month fir 60-70 you can see that you are money ahead in less than a year. When I had set up issues their customer service fixed it for free over the phone.

Very slow and no instructions
It did not come with instructions. My 1st call to Tech Support was met with a very condenscendi man. It is so incredibly slow that everything times out before it loads.

Works great
Bought this item used. works great. 5ghz signal is awesome for low latency if you stream a lot and is not heavily used by many WiFi devices as 2.4ghz signal is. works with my comcast/xfinity internet service.
