They work well for rods of all sizes. Easy to use, better than the corded units with the plastic tightening deals. These neoprene strips with Velcro are about 1" wide by 10" inches long. I just got back from a 500 mile trip, 250 each way, where I used two of them to hold a long bank net on the roof rack of my brothers rig, at freeway speed, and they didn't wiggle or move an inch. Impressive.

Handy, easy to use, color coordinate for less stress fishing trips.
I love these ties. They have helped me organize my fishing poles and color coordinate fishing gear for each person in my family. Our boat has never been so organized and cleaned up. I'm going to get more and use them to organize my garage as I can think of several places these handy velcro ties will be useful.

Great protection and organizers.
I keep a couple of fly rods in the truck most of the time, when I move from one piece of water to another I can toss them in back, the rods don't touch the liner and all I do when I get to the water is zip them off and cast!

I actually ordered these to use as strap tie downs on our life jackets. As we rip across the water our straps flap in the wind uncomfortably and with a quick Velcro wrap no more flying straps!

I find these a bit too thick for the small lake rods (6'6), but perfect for 10'6 rods. Very good quality.

Think about the size of your rod before purchasing.
Quite large for the regular casting and fly rod. It would probably be great for the larger, salt water rods though. Very sturdy and great price.

handy and good for not only fishing rods
My husband bought this for his fishing rods but we found it is handy for many other things for tie and also for protection. I also like it comes in multi color, help differentiating similar stuff but for different usage.
